Notre Dame Academy Student Wins National Essay Contest

Chris Kim, a fifth-grader from Notre Dame Academy in Palisades Park, won second place in a nation-wide essay competition.  The contest is called “Dear George Washington.” It asks students to write to Washington during his inauguration in 1789 and encourage him on what issues to focus on that early Americans faced.  Congratulations Chris!  This is the third year in a row that a student from Notre Dame has placed in the top in the nation for this prestigious contest.
