As a SEVP (Student & Exchange Visitor Program) Certified Educational site, the Archdiocese is able to process the necessary government paperwork to enable a variety of international students, from around the world, the ability to acquire an F1 Student Visa and successfully complete a program of study certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).
By the numbers, New Jersey has 2,300 K-12 International Students; and between the 92 schools in the Archdiocese of Newark, we enroll approximately 17% or 400 of those students.
All interested families must first apply to one of our elementary or secondary schools. Once the individual school determines that the child meets the school enrollment requirements, the appropriate I-20 application/ paperwork will be issued; and the child will be entered into the (SEVIS) Student Exchange Visitor Information System. The school will assist the family with this process.
