Holy Spirit School honors veterans and those currently serving in branches of the U.S. Armed Forces

Holy Spirit School in Union, NJ held a special Veterans Day Assembly on Monday, November 12th.  At the assembly, students’ parents/guardians, and relatives who have served, or who are currently serving in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces were recognized and awarded a certificate of appreciation for their service to our great country: Marcel Dral – Army Specialist 4th Class (1967-1969, Vietnam); Charles Martinez – U.S. Marine Corps/Corporal/E-4 (4 years, Iraqi Freedom War Combat Veteran, OIF 1 & OIF 2); Wendy Maravi – Army Staff Sergeant (6 years, Operation Iraqi Freedom III); Jamila Lopez-Daniel – Airforce Reserves (5 years, still serving); Lawrence A. Harris – U.S. Army/Staff Sergeant (6 years of service); Xiomara Johnson – U.S. Navy/Petty Officer 3rd Class (4 years, Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom); Shawn Garrett – U.S. Marine Corps/Sergeant (1988-1996); Reginald Hill – U.S. Navy/ES (1989-2001, Desert Shield, Desert Storm).
