Quick Reference Timeline of Important  Dates

Month Date Activity
September 1 Applications, Handbooks and Sample COOP Practice Test booklet available at www.njcoopexam.org. Students currently in Catholic Schools will receive materials from their 8th grade teacher.
October Applications available for financial aid from the Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children (SFIC) at Catholic school offices and at sficnj.org . The SFIC begins to accept applications in January.In addition, each Catholic high school has a variety of scholarship and financial aid programs that are separate from the  Consult with each school to which you are applying for their unique process, criteria, and deadlines. Do not wait until you are accepted to inquire how to apply for scholarships and aid! Most schools require aid applications to be filed early.
13 Hard-copy, paper applications are due to MCS by today. Online registration remains available until the October 28.
14 Extended Testing Time accommodation application deadline. Items must be postmarked by this date!
28 Deadline for online registration for COOP exam at coopexam.org
November 11 COOP Exam Administered at testing sites
19 Make-up exam at select sites
December 2 Ninth Grade Applicant Record due to each of the three schools of choice
January 14 Students receive at their homes notification of their admission status.
9 During this week, students in public and private school receive COOP Home Reports mailed to their homes. Current Catholic school families receive the reports at an information night for parents scheduled by their school.
