Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament Choir Preforms at Sounds of the Season

The Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament Music Program in Franklin Lakes has a lot to be grateful for this Christmas season! On Monday, November 26, the AMBS Choir traveled to Red Bank to record two pieces for the NJ News 12 annual event, Sounds of the Season. AMBS was one of a small number of school choirs that was selected to participate in this event. The musical selections highlight the Christmas season: “Somewhere in My Memory” from the popular film Home Alone and a new favorite entitled “Sing With the Angels.” It was an experience that choir members will remember for a long time, having gained experience from a professional music setting and also supporting other NJ music students. The AMBS Choir, directed by Mrs. Alexandra Carroll, is composed of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade and has grown over the past four years, now up to 33 members. This was a wonderful opportunity for the AMBS Choir! The choir rehearses on Fridays before school, and they put in a lot of extra time and dedication to prepare for the Sounds of the Season recording. After all of their efforts, the students look forward to seeing themselves on TV in the next few weeks! We hope that you will keep an eye out for the AMBS Choir – both on television and online.
