Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Practicing Catholic
- Relevant experience in teaching and/or administration
- Earned Master’s degree in Education, preferably in school leadership
- NJ Teaching Certificate or its reciprocal
- NJ Principal Certification preferred or commitment to attain or its reciprocal

The Academy of the Holy Angels (www.holyangels.org) is seeking applicants for the position of Principal, appointment effective July 1, 2016. A private, Catholic college
preparatory school with an enrollment of 600 young women grades 9-12, the Academy is known for the rigor of its academic excellence as well as its commitment to the service of others. Located on a beautiful 25-acre campus in Demarest NJ, the Academy empowers each student to reach her full potential. Grounded in the tradition and charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), the Academy is committed to the highest standards of excellence in its academic and co-curricular programs. Holy Angels is a Blue Ribbon school, Middle States accredited and a National Service Learning School.
The Principal receives her appointment from and reports directly to the Academy’s President. The Principal serves as the Instructional Leader of the school, supervises the
daily operation of the school and is concerned with the development of the faculty, the curriculum, and the academic and co-curricular programs. The Principal works to provide leadership in developing academic excellence in the context of a Christian community. The Principal directs the work of the department chairpersons and works in collaboration with the Director of Admissions to support the marketing and recruitment programs for the school.
The ideal candidate will have held senior leadership roles preferably at the secondary school level. A master’s degree is required. We are seeking an individual with a vision for
academic success who possesses superior communication skills; high energy and the ability to work as a senior member of the Academy’s administrative team.
